Become a qualified MOT Tester in as little as weeks.
A Nominated Tester (NT) is someone who is qualified to carry out MOT Tests.
You need a Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification and four years trade experience to become an MOT tester. Once you have this qualification you then need to pass the Award in MOT Testing. Finally you will need to pass a VT8 MOT test observed by DVSA to gain your MOT License. After you have qualified you will need to complete annual training and pass an annual assessment every year to maintain your testing status.
