MOT Training for Motorcycle Testers (Class 1 + 2) - £695

Become an MOT Motorcycle Tester (Class 1 and 2) here at the MOT Training Centre.

The Award in MOT Motorcycle Testing Class 1 and 2 has been developed with DVSA to give you the knowledge and skills required to perform the MOT Test Routine on motorbikes. After completing your course DVSA will need to observe you complete a VT8 assessment MOT test, before you receive your authorised license to practice.

This Award in MOT Testing Class 1 and 2 will not expire, and holders will be considered professionally competent for their lifetime. Once qualified, MOT Testers will be required to complete three hours of CPD annually, sixteen hours over a five year period.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The Award in MOT Testing Class 1 and 2 qualification has been developed for individuals who would like to improve their career by becoming qualified Motorcycle MOT Testers.

ELIGIBILITY TO ATTEND

You will need to provide the following documentation in order to attend the Motorcycle Testers course:

Hold a current UK Motorcycle licence
Be a skilled mechanic that has at least four years full time employment, permitted by law, in the service and repair of the vehicle types to be tested.
Have no unspent convictions for criminal offences connected with the MOT testing scheme or the motor trade, or involving acts of violence or intimidation
Be ‘of good repute’

COURSE CONTENT

Award in MOT Testing Class 1 and 2 replaces the Nominated Tester Training (NTT) which was formerly run by DVSA. This qualification is for individuals who are serious about becoming a fully qualified motorcycle MOT tester. This intensive course will develop your skills around the MOT Testing Routine to help you become a Nominated Tester. You will focus on working safely within a Vehicle Test Centre, working relationships, professional development, health and safety, pre-test checks and the MOT test.

Using a blend of practical and theory based study we make learning easy by putting in place assessments that reflect the demands of today’s competitive industry, giving you a solid grounding in key principles and further industry knowledge

Once you have completed your Award in MOT Testing Class 1 & 2 you will need to complete a VT8 MOT test Observation which is the final step in your journey to become an MOT Motorcycle Tester.
